I recently got to do a super cool photoshoot in downtown Denver with Colorado Avalanche player Andreas Englund. This was a photoshoot for Swedish apparel company Atunya and Andreas is an influencer and athlete for them. Part of why I love being a Denver photographer is that I get to work with amazing people like Andreas. This was such a fun photoshoot and I had a blast walking around downtown Denver with Andreas and getting to know him a little.
Andreas has played all over the world and was playing for the Colorado Eagles before being called up to the Colorado Avalanche. He had filled in for a few games while a defenseman was injured and he was literally waiting for the call from the GM to find out if he would be staying on the Avalanche or if he would be getting sent back down to the Colorado Eagles. He didn’t end up getting the call during our shoot but he has remained on the Avs and it’s been awesome to watch him play on TV. We’ve even been texting back and forth a few time about getting a beer.
Andreas absolutely crushed this photoshoot… I mean, he is a 6’3” Swedish guy and has the most chiseled jaw I’ve ever seen. So of course he photographed well and we had a blast getting creative. I must also say that the editing style I used in this shoot is different than the rest of my portfolio and it works for the brand and for the aesthetic we were trying to achieve. It’s fun not being locked into an editing style and to allow yourself to be different than what you’ve done in the past. If you want your photos to look and feel a certain way that is different than what you see on my website, we can definitely work on that.
We had a great time on our photoshoot and I told him he could use some of these photos for his dating profile photos, haha.
