I recently had the opportunity to capture Denver family photos for the Kuper family! We did our session at South Mesa Trailhead and it did not disappoint! This is actually turning out to be one of my favorite spots for family photos. It’s just south of Boulder so you get beautiful views of the mountains, while still getting the tall natural grasses of the prairies that look so pretty in photos.
Sunset is the best time to do your family photography session here. South Mesa Trailhead is about 40 minutes from Denver so it makes for the perfect spot to capture the beauty of Colorado without having to drive deep into the mountains.
It’s been a busy season capturing outdoor family photos and I’m a little bit behind on updating my website and blog, but this is one of my favorite sets from the season so far! Allie, Matt, and little Brooks did an amazing job with their outfits, as it totally captured the Fall vibe and went super well with the landscape. Outfits play a key role in how your family portraits turn out so be sure to put some thought into what you want to wear during your family photo session.
When you schedule your family session with me, we will touch base on what to wear and how to prepare for your photo shoot so that everything goes off without a hitch! And to make you feel better, little Brooks was not being super cooperative during this photoshoot, but we still got some great photos. Sometimes, the key is to take a lot of photos and hope for the best :) There’s bound to be a few smiles in there and it’s up to me to capture those moments.
